Masking Fluid Tamiya 87229

This special light green fluid is excellent for covering areas where tape has difficulty, especially with complex or curved shapes and challenging surfaces. It can be applied directly from the bottle, with minimal drops ensuring a clean and precise application. The fluid is compatible with Tamiya paints. Bottle content: 20 g.

Application Instructions:

  • Clean the target surface from oil residues with a cleaning agent.
  • Apply the fluid directly from the bottle and let it dry completely.
  • Cut out the covered areas that need to be painted and remove unnecessary sections before starting to paint.
  • Remove the masking fluid after the topcoat has completely dried.

Apply the masking fluid only when the primer is completely dry. Use a thin layer, as drying takes about 30 minutes. Thicker layers require more drying time. When cutting the dried masking fluid, use a new modeling blade and ensure to hold the edges of the dried fluid firmly if there are gaps underneath. This fluid is water-based and should be applied carefully over water-based paints. Removing the fluid can be challenging on complex surfaces. Handle the bottle carefully to avoid accidental spills. If the nozzle is clogged, remove and clean it.
