1:35 German Tank Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf.B Tamiya 35388 - Plastic model kit of a tank

The Panzerkampfwagen I (Pz.Kpfw.I) was the first tank produced in series by Germany after the armament restrictions of the Treaty of Versailles following World War I. The original Ausf.A version from 1934 was replaced in 1936 by the improved Ausf.B, which was equipped with a more powerful engine (100 HP instead of 57 HP) and a chassis lengthened by about 40 cm. The tank was armed with two MG13 machine guns.

Originally intended as a training tank, the Pz.Kpfw.I was used in the Spanish Civil War (1936) as well as in the German campaigns in Poland (1939), France (1940), and Russia (1941).
