Description
1:35 Dinosaur Pteranodon Tamiya 60204
Dinosaurs flourished during the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic era, about 145 to 66 million years ago, and dominated the Earth. The Pteranodon, a flying dinosaur or pterosaur, lived towards the end of this period, about 85 million years ago. With a wingspan of 6 to 8 meters, it was impressively large, but weighed only about 20 kilograms. It is believed that it had long, well-developed fourth toes on both forelegs that stretched the skin wings and enabled glider-like flight. Pteranodon primarily fed on fish, which it caught by diving down.
