Ford Escort RS 1800 Mk.II Lombard RAC Rally - Italeri 3650 - Plastic Model Kit of a Car in Scale 1:24

The Ford Escort Mk 2 was introduced in 1975 and represented a significant evolution of the Escort Mk 1, which debuted at the Brussels Motor Show in 1968. While it retained the proven mechanics of its predecessor, the design was completely revamped to align with the stylistic trends of the 1970s. In addition to the more functional models, a sporty version of the Escort was also available, featuring a dynamic exterior and sportily designed interior. Notably, the RS 1800 version, equipped with a 115 hp twin-camshaft engine, served as the basis for the racing version, which achieved impressive successes in the World Rally Championship. From 1975 to 1979, the Ford Escort RS 1800 won the prestigious RAC Rally, the most important rally event in the UK and a central part of the World Rally Championship, five times in a row.
