Tamiya 58516 BMW 318i STW TT-01E 1:10 4WD

The BMW 318i STW was one of the most recognizable competitors in the Super Touring era of the 1990s. Representing BMW in highly competitive touring car championships, the lightweight sedan combined precise handling with aggressive race-inspired styling. This Tamiya model faithfully recreates the racing machine and brings a classic touring car legend back to the track in 1:10 scale.

The lightweight polycarbonate body accurately captures the shape of the BMW 318i STW and includes separately molded side mirrors and rear wing components for enhanced realism. An extensive decal sheet allows the authentic race livery to be recreated, while the included matte-plated mesh wheels and racing slick tires complete the appearance of the original touring car.

The model is based on the proven TT-01 Type-E chassis, featuring a shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain and a durable bathtub frame construction. The low-mounted motor and battery help lower the center of gravity and improve overall balance. Full independent suspension, oil-filled shock absorbers and front and rear gear differentials provide stable handling and predictable performance, making the chassis suitable for both beginners and experienced RC enthusiasts.
